GetQuranic Editorial Guidelines
Beginner level audience, Muslims and recent reverts, as well as curious readers. Many of our readers are interested in the Quran, relationships (marriage, family, etc.), mental health, and Arabic.
The audience will be very varied, it could be anyone who is searching google for “Quran Verses about depression” with widely varied backgrounds. They won’t necessarily know Islamic terminology or be familiar to that degree, so the writing has to be as free of Arabic terminology as possible.

Academic and semi-informal. We want to maintain credibility and professionalism while being conversational and easy to read at the same time.
Tone and concepts should gently ease in an audience who are new to the material. Less use of persuasive or emotional language. More focus on conveying factual information without trying to convince.
Write in reference to the Quran mainly. Keep terminology basic.
Avoid the use of “We” and “Us” in writing. When applicable use Quran instead of Islam which shows our Quranic focus.
Articles should be at least 1,000 words depending on the subject. 2,000 words is ideal.
