“And when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House with Ishmael, he said: ‘Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.'” [2:127]
Abraham and Ishmael completed a great task: building the great House of Allah, the Ka’bah, in Makkah.
And what was the first thing they asked of Him?
To accept the task.
The task must be true and sincere. That’s the primary ask.

Salam alaikum
Ibrahim a.s., the friend of Allah SWT
Always respectful and obedient to his Lord, I admire him so much, he gave his willing to Allah SWT, so he acts according to the way to please Him. Thus, Ibrahim a.s., is the owner of a great humbleness, that’s why in my opinion he asks always to his Lord accepts his good deeds. His son is not the exception. Ismail a.s. learnt of his father about obedience and humbleness towards his Lord. Asking to Allah SWT accepts our deeds is a way of purification from arrogance and hypocrisy. Well said the noble Quran at Surat Khaf that the lost deeds are those come Frome people who were sure that they were doing good deeds, but that already those deeds will not have weight on the balance in the day of judgement.
May Allah make us steadfast in his worship and keep our intentions pure. Ameen.
Thank you for the email.
Wealthy businesses are halal as long as they are just to the poor!
Shows that wealthy businesses are halal as long as they are just and charitable!
SubhanaAllah. They are doing such a big task and even then asking Allahs acceptance. This shows how down to earth personalities they were.
SubhanAllaah, all of us forget that no one promises us the acceptance of our deeds. We should all beg for Allah to accept all that we do. Especially our daily salah, we pray and go back to what we were doing as if it’s guaranteed that it is accepted by our Rab.
Subhan Allah. The fact that the prophets’ intentions were so pure, they wanted everything to be accepted by Allah. They had that intention which is lost in many today! First we need to make our heart and intentions pure, then only Allah will accept our deeds. Indeed only Allah knows what’s inside our hearts.
Alhamdulillah
Jazak Allah Khair ya akhi!
I think your actions need to have sincerity and good intentions because if you’re doing something just to show off then it kind of defeats the purpose.
Peace and Truth. The blessings from above become our blessings. Peace does not mean allying with what is not true, or what is not right. Deeds highly count, hand in hand with faith.
