“Why am I never satisfied?”
“How can I become content?”
That is a common question of modern people.
The Quran says:
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” [13:28]
The remembrance of Allah is not only lip service. It is God-consciousness.
If you are conscious of God in your deeds and actions, then your heart will be at rest.
If however you are not conscious of God, you will not have a strong place to stand.

JazakAllah
As humans, we are insatiable and have unlimited needs but Alhamdulillah God-consciousness directs our focus and attain satisfaction in every endeavor. Maashaa Allah this topic has a lot of impact on myself and i believe same on many others
The implication seems to be that the heart and mind are one. Or at least they have an affect on the other. صيح؟
What does the mind say to the heart if one is God conscious? Does one question: would Allah approve of this action?
That is an astute observation. Yes, they certainly have an affect on one another. To only rely on only one or the other won’t allow you to make the right decision in certain situations, because you haven’t looked at things with different lenses – the mind is all logic, and the heart is all emotion. Alone, they are too concentrated, but using them together means that you can come to a more grounded conclusion.
Yes, I believe that remembering ALLAH freshes our mind
Indeed!
MashAllah, I believe that remembering Allah through lip service can make us conscious of Allah by Allah’s mercy.
